All our custom babies are now offered on layaway - this gives us time to plan our work and make sure that except for any unforseen delays, you will know when your baby will be shipped to you.
The layaway we offer is nine months, and two custom babies will be offered every month. These can be pre-ordered quite a few months ahead which means instead of sitting on a waiting list, you can book your slot and know you are getting your baby.
You put down a DEPOSIT which is a ninth of the overall cost of the baby (eg for a baby and shipping costing £2,200, the deposit and monthly payments will be £245.
On the month your final payment is due your baby should be finished and ready to come home to you.
For example: if your plan starts in April, you will finish paying in December and your baby will come home towards the end of December.
(**Please note, because your baby is hand made from start to finish, occasionally there are events outside our control that may delay things, in which case we will inform you as soon as this happens**)
There will be opening slots for two babies every month, and you will be able to choose from all the babies that we are pouring at the time of ordering.
You are able to book ahead for your sili-pregnancy, in which case you pay your deposit on booking, and then start paying when your monthly payments begin (for example if you look at our list in January and the next available slot is for May to December layaway, then you pay your deposit in January to secure your slot, and then your regular monthly payments begin in May and baby will come home in December.
How to pay
All payments are made via Paypal. We do not ask you to pay 'friends and family' as this would affect your rights as a customer, we always take payments as a business which protects both the buyer and the seller, even though this means we are charged a paypal fee.
If you do not have to have a Paypal account, you can still pay by any debit or credit card via the Paypal system.
We always invoice in GBP currency (British Pounds). If you wish to work out the value in your own currency please refer to a currency convertor website (for example www.xe.com). We cannot invoice you in any other currency.
So I want to order my baby, what do I do?
You will see some options for ordering a baby by Layaway. Choose the baby you would like, make sure you read all the information about your baby before ordering. If in doubt, please do email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) and ask anything you want to know.
Check to see what slots are available (eg April to December) and select your slot.
There are some choices you need to make, but if you are undecided you can choose some of the options later but you need to choose which baby you want to order, and whether its a boy or a girl.
The shipping cost will be calculated in the final month and you will be invoiced separately for this depending what country you live in.
Once you have selected your choices, you will be asked to pay a deposit - this makes up the first of your nine layaway payments.
What happens next?
Once the deposit has been paid, we will contact you by email to confirm your timeline for payments and confirm when your baby should be ready. We will also send you a copy of these terms for you to refer to, and we will set up your monthly invoicing.
Soon after this, we will pour your baby and it will be reserved for you. We might start work on your baby right away, or it might be part way through your payment plan. We will send you updates and photographs once we start working on your baby. That's when it gets really exciting!!
Once you have put a deposit on a baby, you cannot switch to another sculpt or transfer the payments you have made to another product in the form of 'credit'.
During the layaway period you will be sent a Paypal invoice every month automatically for payment. If you miss any payments, we will send you a reminder, but it is your responsibility to make sure you have caught up with all the payments by the end of the nine months layaway period.
How do I know I can trust Our World of Chi?
If you are a new customer to Our World of Chi, you might feel nervous of entering into an agreement with a business that you may not know, and might be in a different country.
We have been making silicone baby dolls since 2013 and have built up a strong following on facebook and youtube.

What happens if I can’t pay?
Because this is a custom made doll, all payments are non-refundable and a missing a payment could result in you losing all of your previous payments, and the doll.
If, after paying the deposit and perhaps some of the payments, you find you are struggling with the payments, please contact us, we might be able to arrange for you to pay smaller amounts over a longer period of time, or have a payment holiday.
If you miss a payment and we do not hear from you, you are at risk of losing the doll and any payments made.
If you are in genuine difficulty and find you cannot continue with the payments, we might be able to arrange to sell the doll on your behalf and, if we are successful, then we will refund some, or all, of the payments you have made (but not the deposit – we retain this to recover our materials and time involved).
What if Our World of Chi cannot finish making the doll?
If, for any reason, we are unable to supply the doll that is reserved for you (for example if the mould unexpectedly developed a problem and we had to cancel all pours for that baby), then all your payments and deposit will be returned to you in full. Alternatively if you prefer, you might be able to transfer your payment credits to another baby and we will try and expedite you to the top of that list so that your baby is ready when originally planned.
I don't live in the UK, can you ship to my country?
We do ship WORLDWIDE to most countries. If in doubt, please contact us before ordering so that we can check for you.
You baby will be sent home to you via DHL which we have found to be extremely reliable, safe and quick. It is completely tracked and we have never yet lost a parcel. The price we charge you for shipping (to be paid at the time of paying deposit) does not include insurance. Once the parcel has left our premises it is in safe hands with DHL, however if it is damaged or lost, or undelivered for some reason, this is not something we can take responsibility for. Therefore you may choose to pay extra for insurance, if so please let us know when we are ready to arrange shipping for your baby and we can charge you the extra charge for insurance.
IMPORTANT: Many countries add a customs/excise duty onto your purchase. It will be your responsibility to pay that duty. If in doubt please find out before ordering, about your countries rules on receiving goods from the UK.
